Advanced Buyer Gating
Let email be the "unlock"
Spinzo permits offer gating based on:
- Email List (list of specific emails)
- Email Domain (e.g., verizon.com)
- Email Suffix (e.g., .edu or .gov)
Spinzo manages this through central lists. If you want to gate multiple game promotions by the same set of emails, you create one list then “attach” it to the promotions. This way, you can manage central lists like “group leaders”, “season ticket members” and attach them to specific promotions for them. No need to update the list on many different offers.
To ensure iron-clad gating, Spinzo promotions can be configured enforce email address verification, which forces the buyer to affirmatively respond to an email that Spinzo sends to them upon purchase. This ensures email ownership to the buyer. The buyer won’t be able to purchase unless verified.
Give exclusive offers based on credit card
Spinzo can restrict buyers to:
- All debit/credit cards at a particular bank
- A credit card Brand (e.g., Visa, AMEX, MC)
- Specific credit cards (e.g., Chase Sapphire)
For example, Spinzo clients can run a promotion restricted to PNC Bank cardholders. Or, as another example, the promotion can be restricted to Chase Visa Sapphire cardholders. This is an iron-clad approach which requires the buyer to use the gated credit card. This is accomplished by verifying the BIN (or IIN), the Bank/Issuer Identifier Number. Spinzo has been granted a special exemption from the payment processor to be able to capture and gate based on BIN/IIN.
Exclusivity drives purchases
94%
of consumers would take advantage of an exclusive offer not typically offered to the general public
82%
of consumers say that being provided an exclusive offer would increase how often they shopped with a brand
10%+
subsidy willing to be provided by credit card brands in exchange for promotional card gating and branding
Say "no" to out-of-town purchasers
Spinzo can geo-fence promotions to specific zip code lists. Similar to email gating, this is managed through central lists to streamline the process. Geo-fencing can be applied to a whole property (sports team, venue, or tournament), group, specific event, or specific seating zone.
With a many-to-many attachment method, you can create a standard geo-fencing zip code list but then also create an “exceptions” list and attach that to offers when needed. The exceptions list is useful if you want to manually approve someone from purchasing who may have an out-of-town home or billing location.
Honor those who serve and the front lines
Spinzo has a partnership with GovX to offer full and complete verification for free to all clients. There is no need to create a separate partnership with GovX. Spinzo can verify the following categories, and can do so for specific pricing, seating zones, or early bird timing.
- Active Military
- Retired Military
- Reserves
- Veterans
- First Responders
- Healthcare Workers
- Teachers
- Government Workers
Code-gating made simple
Promo Codes
Spinzo can restrict buyers to those who enter a specific promo code. Promotions can carry multiple permitted promo codes, in which case the buyer must enter one of the permitted codes upon checkout. In Spinzo-speak, a promo code is a shared code that many buyers would know about and would have to use when purchasing.
Serialized Codes
The gold-standard of gating involves the use of serialized codes (or “Flex Codes” in Spinzo terminology). Flex codes can be mass generated by Spinzo or uploaded. Each flex code can be worth a different number of tickets, which can be free or priced at a discount. Flex codes can be stacked by the buyer, permitting a purchase using multiple codes, if desired. Codes can apply to specific seating zones but can also have upgrade options, allowing buyers to redeem their discount for more expensive seats, or premium events. A great use case of this is to give every youth sports player a flex code (these can be auto-generated, or you can upload their youth program registration IDs). They then use that code or ID to gain access to free or discounted tickets, which could be upgradeable to better seating zones or better events.
